Pennsylvania woman arrested on surrogacy fraud against Maryland couple

FAIRVIEW TOWNSHIP, Pa: - A Pennsylvania woman was arrested Friday on charges she fabricated surrogacy services for a Maryland couple.

Officers of the Fairview Township (Pa.) Police Department arrested Christina Lee Jensen,36, of the 400 block of Lewisberry Road and charged her with theft, receiving stolen property and unlawful use of a computer.  

The 17-month investigation started on Aug. 10, 2012, when a the couple reported they have been victimized by Jensen after she agreed to serve as their gestational carrier. 

 An investigation revealed Jensen fabricated legal contracts, receipts, e-mails and forged an attorney's signature on a legal contract to steal over $4300.00 from the couple.

Jensen was transported to the York County Booking Center. She is now free on $70,000 bail.
