There's a construction boom in Baltimore County with major construction projects recently completed or now underway. Check out these areas of economic development in the County.

The Hubert V.Simmons Museum of Negro Leagues Baseball, located inside the County Campus at Owings Mills building, opened in March. The museum and campus center are part of the growing transit-oriented development of Metro Centre at Owings Mills.
Kaiser Permanente in Baltimore opened a full-service medical center in Halethorpe in one of Baltimore County’s three enterprise zones in 2013. Companies that set up shop in those zones can get tax credits from the county and the state as an incentive for helping to revitalize an older area. Baltimore County’s other enterprise zones include the North Point Enterprise Zone in the Dundalk area and the Federal Center at Woodlawn Enterprise Zone. Since the creation of the zones, companies have created 3,000 new jobs, Baltimore County officials estimate.
The Cinemark Towson and XD theaters officially opened in downtown Towson in early July. The theater is located on Joppa Road east of the traffic circle and anchors the new $85 million Towson Square entertainment center
Downtown Towson Living includes seven new apartment and townhome communities in downtown Towson. More than 2,600 new homes were recently built or are in development in this area.
Heavy Seas Brewery is located in Baltimore County's Southwest Enterprise Zone. The same zone also hold the Maryland Food Bank headquarters and Bakery Express, which supplies pastries to 7-Eleven locations in the mid-Atlantic.
