Natasha Murphy is the deputy director of advocacy for Black Girls Vote. Black Girls vote is a nonpartisan organization that aims to "engage, education and empower women of color to use the political process."
Murphy said the organization had a goal of registering 10,000 new voters in the greater Baltimore area this year. They succeed, and helped to register more than 11,500 new voters.

She conducts policy research and analysis, legislative and regulatory tracking, and advocacy content development for the local organization.
Black Girls Vote is a nonpartisan organization that helps get women of color involved in the political process to advocate for issues that affect their communities.
Murphy is a health policy professional with experience in commercial health insurance. She’s previously worked on Capitol Hill and in municipal government for Baltimore and Washington D.C.
She received her Masters of Science in Public Health, Health Policy at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences from Howard University.
