The Naval Academy Museum will open a new exhibit, Warrior Writers: The U.S. Naval Institute, Thursday.

The exhibit will run through Jan. 31. It features literary work primarily from junior officers during their active duty service since the 1870s. The artifacts are from the combined collections of the U.S. Naval Academy Museum and the U.S. Naval Institute, while others are on loan from recent authors.

In addition to the exhibit, a Warrior Writers podcast will be available each week beginning Monday. These podcasts are part of a 14-episode series and will feature interviews with Dr. Craig Symonds, Naval Academy history professor emeritus, and Naval Academy Museum Director Claude Berube. The podcast will be available through iTunes and the U.S. Naval Academy Museum website and Facebook page.

The Naval Institute will post information weekly about the exhibit on Facebook and Twitter
