Woman Reports Herself for Driving Drunk

Last Update: 11/03 5:51 am
NEILSVILLE, Wis. (AP) -- At least give her a little credit for honesty. A Wisconsin woman called 911 to report a drunken driver -- herself.

Clark County deputies say Mary Strey told the 911 dispatcher -- quote -- "I don't want to hurt anybody. I'm drunk."

Sheriff's Chief Deputy Jim Backus says Strey followed the dispatcher's advice to pull over and turn on her emergency flashers. Strey was cited for misdemeanor drunken driving.
