More than 150 volunteers turned out at Middle Branch Park on Saturday in Baltimore to help the environment. Volunteers cleaned up the park to make it safer for people to use.
Groups with Outward Bound, the Westport Community Council and Harbor Hospital helped with the cleanup. It's all part of National Trails Day.
The clean up covered about 15 miles along the Gywnn Falls Trail.
"They are clearing debris, cleaning up trash and planting trees. They are doing a little of everything to make Middle Branch a cleaner and safer place," said Kate Mack, organizer of the event.
National Trails Day is an annual event. Several volunteers also participate in a weekly cleanup program.
