Snow Removal Do's and Don'ts

If you are one of the many Maryland residents still waiting for a plow to get to your street, Angie's List has put together a list of suggestions you should read.

There are three main things you need to check before you shell out any money for private snow removal.

Make sure you get a written estimate.  Have anyone you are thinking about hiring come to your home and tell you exactly what will be included.

Also ask about whether the cost will be a flat rate based on the depth of the snow, or whether you will be charged by the number of trips the company will make.

Lastly, make sure you find out if the company has insurance against damage, and get a copy of the name and number you would contact if you need to report any.
