Baltimore County Police are asking motorists to avoid parts of Reisterstown Road after a transformer blew, knocking out power to the traffic lights.
BGE crews are on their way to the scene now on Reisterstown Road at Interstate 695. Both the northbound and southbound lanes are affected.
Police are on scene directing traffic. Motorists are asked to seek alternate routes and to avoid the area altogether. They are not sure when the repairs will be complete.
