(Baltimore, MD.) A robbery suspect was shot by a Baltimore City police officer after the suspect attempted to run the officer over in a car as the suspect was fleeing the robbery scene.

According to police spokesperson Nicole Monroe police were called to an establishment in the 6200 block of Belair road in the city for a robbery call.

When the robbery suspect was confronted by police at Belair Rd. and Henry Ave. the suspect attempted to run over the officer in the car the suspect was driving.

That's when the suspect was shot by the officer. The car the suspect fled in was stopped at Belair Rd. and Fullerton Heights Ave. in Baltimore County.

Police have not released information on the suspect's condition.
