ANNAPOLIS (AP) - Maryland transportation officials are asking commuters to be careful and patient as they head to work.
State Highway Administrator Neil Pedersen says some heavy equipment will need to stay on Maryland roads to keep removing snow in order to make room for another snowfall expected Tuesday night.
He says that could slow things down on some roads, but it's critical in order to prepare for what's coming.
Pedersen also says snow removal has been "such a monumental task" that not all lanes on Maryland roads will be open for Tuesday's commute.
He also says snow removal crews will be focusing on moving large mounds of snow from ramps and interchanges
