Mervo High Student Stabbed in School Cafeteria

Baltimore, MD - Police are investigating the stabbing of a Mervo High School student in the school's cafeteria Tuesday afternoon. The stabbing happened at around 1:30 p.m. The victim was treated by the school's nurse before being taken to an area hospital. His wounds are said to be superficial. Baltimore City School Police and the Baltimore City Police Department are conducting a joint investigating into the incident. Five people are in police custody, says Edie House-Foster, a spokesperson for Baltimore City Public Schools. The five suspects are not Mervo students. Investigators are still working to determine how they got into the school. The investigating is ongoing.
