The debate over slots in Maryland has raged on for years. A new survey has some interesting information before voters head to the polls during the November Election to decide on slots.
49 percent of Marylanders surveyed would vote for the constitutional amendment to authorize slot machines in the state.
43 percent said they would vote against the slots amendment.
Gonzales Research and Marketing Strategies released the survey on Tuesday. The agency said the numbers dropped five points since January when 54 percent of Marylanders said they would vote to allow slot machines.
The survey was conducted from August 29th through September 5th. 833 registered voters who will likely vote in the General Election were interviewed by phone.
The slots referendum, if approved, would allow up to 15,000 slot machines at five locations in the state of Maryland.
