JOPPATOWNE, Md. (AP) -- Maryland State Police say a Pikesville man wanted for robbing pharmacies has been caught in the act.
Forty-five-year-old Anthony Pierre Willis is charged with armed robbery and other counts in connection with a robbery of a Rite Aid on Pulaski Highway near Joppatowne.
Police say they stopped him Thursday night as he was walking to a getaway car after the pharmacy was robbed. The officers were conducting surveillance outside the pharmacy, which had been identified as a likely target.
Police say he had a wad of cash and a pellet gun tucked in his waistband.
Police suspect Willis in the robbery of two other pharmacies and a restaurant in Harford County this month.
Charges against Willis are pending in those cases.
