I know both of the men who were charged in this case personally, and they are not murderers. I honestly believe this was something that went to far, and got out of hand. The death penalty doesn't at all fit in this case as an appropriate punishment. I and several other people who also know Shomauri and Tim support them, and know that this isn't a first degree murder case. Yes they were wrong for even solving a dispute with violence, but I don't believe this was intended to end in a murder. The Shomauri that is being charged with first degree murder isn't at all the Shomauri that I got to know, and someone needs to look at this case and realize that this was an assault that went horribly wrong.

What bothers me about the death penalty is that one of the rationalizations for it is the person confesses. Well the cops keep hounding their suspect until they get a confession and I don't believe that most of these are valid. I think in order to stop these perpetrators aka cops to stop a person will confess to anything. I SAY LET'S BRING BACK THE STOKADES AND THE PILLORY.I do believe there are more innocent people in prison today because of the method of getting a "confession" used today. A confession is no good if the real killer remains free.

Agree with both. We need the death penalty AND WE NEED TO USE IT!! Murder is taken for granted nowadays and that's why it's run so rampant. These thugs laugh at our justice system. And why not, they can plea bargain their way from murder to assault, get home detention, and walk the streets again in a matter on months. What on earth was the Governor thinking when he abolished the death penalty? He just opened the door for more crime.

What is the difference between this and the crofton murder?Shouldn't the charges be the same for the animals in the crofton murder?

I'd don't know about anybody else, but I'm tired of supporting murders. So let's bring back the death sentence. When they are found guilty, then it time to put them to death. And so tax payer can stop supporting these murders.
