Kaiser Permanente donated $20,000 to Bea Gaddy Family Centers Inc. to support the 27th annual Thanks for Giving Day Dinner.
On Saturday morning, 200 local volunteers were on hand to start the preparation of 70,000 pounds of donated turkeys.
The volunteers worked for hours, slicing and packaging the many turkeys, to prepare for Thursdays' Thanks for Giving Day Dinner that has been providing thousands of families hot meals on Thanksgiving Day, since 1981.
