In November of 2008 Special Agent Samuel Hicks was shot and killed in a raid at a home in Glenshaw, Pennsylvania, just outside of Pittsburgh.
Now the lead lawyer for Christine Korbe wants to withdraw from the case.
John Elash, who filed court papers on Friday in Pittsburgh, says the family of Korbe has only paid about three fifths of the required fee. And he claims the family has told him that they can't pay the rest.
Korbe says she acted in self defense when she shot Special Agent Hicks, telling investigators, at the time that she thought he was a 'home invader'.
Hicks was shot just above his bullet proof vest.
Special Agent Hicks has deep ties to Baltimore, he was once a city police officer and school teacher in Owings Mills.
