ANNAPOLIS JUNCTION, Md. (AP) -- Howard County Police say a Columbia man who fell down a steep hillside and became pinned under a lawnmower has died. Twenty-six-year-old Cerelino Valtazar was pronounced dead at Howard County General Hospital about 3 p.m. Wednesday. Someone taking a break found Valtazar pinned under a riding mower about 2 p.m. in the 9000 block of Junction Drive near Annapolis Junction. That person called 911 and police and fire and rescue workers freed Valtazar and took him to the hospital. Valtazar worked for Premier Lawn Service in West Friendship and was mowing the grass at a commercial property. Police believe he fell down a steep embankment after losing control of the riding lawnmower. The Maryland Occupational Safety and Health Administration is also investigating.
