"My father's okay,” said Shah, “He's in the hospital. They are saying he's stable right now. They don't know anything furthermore than that."
Baltimore County Police say a masked man entered the store just before 7pm Tuesday, and demanded money from the two men at gunpoint.
Employees at a neighboring business who frequent the store say he then shot them without provocation.
"Take the gun. Give me money. Give me money,” said Jose Asitimbay, “They don't have money. Nothing. Only this. It's no good... no good. A lot of problem."
By the time police arrived, a regular customer who lived just across the alley, 52-year old Brian Michael Meise, was dead, 55-year old Sudhir Shah had suffered a gunshot wound to the face and the suspect had disappeared.
Meanwhile, other business owners in Catonsville’s Business Center are left of wonder, “Who’s next?”
"How do you protect yourself?"
"You don't know how I'm gonna protect myself,” said restaurant owner Paul Delfico, “I don't know. You have to be very vigilant. That's about the only thing you can do."
If you were in the vicinity of the Catonsville Shopping Center Tuesday night and saw anything suspicious, you’re asked to call Baltimore County Police at 410-307-2020 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7-LOCKUP.
