Cafeteria Fight Ends With Arrests

Last Update: 11/05 5:51 pm

A cafeteria brawl inside a Maryland high school.

It happened just before eight this morning in the cafeteria of James M. Bennett High School in Salisbury.

The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office says nine students have been charged. School personnel and other staff reportedly restrained those involved and nobody was seriously hurt.

Deputies say the fight comes just one day after an assault on a school bus.  It isn't known tonight if the two incidents are connected.  The investigation continues and all of the students arrested have been referred to the Department of Juvenile Justice.
