Author Stephen King To Sign Books At Dundalk Wal-Mart

Reported by: Roosevelt Leftwich
Last Update: 11/11/2009 1:33 pm
It is a rare treat for fans of best selling novelist Stephen King.

For the first time since 1992 King will personally sign copies of his new book, Under The Dome which was released today.

But the appearances will be limited to just eight stops, but he will only personally sign books at two locations.

One is just outside of Baltimore at a Wal-Mart store in Dundalk.

Hundreds of King fans camped out overnight at the store on North Point Boulevard for a chance to get a book signed by the horror and fantasy author.

In addition to local fans, people from as far away as California, Texas and even Spain have come in for a chance to meet the popular author.

But only the first 400 will get a chance to personally get their book signed.

The Dundalk Wal-Mart was chosen for a personal signing because it is one of the biggest sellers of King's novels in the nation.

The store's manager says they gave out wristbands to the first 400 so they wouldn't have to stand out in the cold rain waiting for the author.

The signing is scheduled to begin at around six.
