Three vehicles were involved in the crash. When units arrived they found one vehicle completely engulfed in flames with no one inside. Another car was flipped over with several people trapped inside.

A 40-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man were both flown to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center with life threatening injuries. Another person was taken also taken to Shock Trauma via ambulance with life threatening injuries.
