6 Hospitalized After Millersville Crash

Six people were sent to the hospital early Friday morning after a three-car crash in Millersville, fire officials say.

The crash happened just before 2:30 a.m. in front of the 8700-block of Veterans Highway.

Three vehicles were involved in the crash. When units arrived they found one vehicle completely engulfed in flames with no one inside. Another car was flipped over with several people trapped inside.

A 40-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man were both flown to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center with life threatening injuries. Another person was taken also taken to Shock Trauma via ambulance with life threatening injuries. Three other victims were taken to the Baltimore-Washington Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Officials were unable to specify what cars the victims were in at the time of the crash.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
