A 16-year-old Churchville boy is charged with arson and attempted second-degree murder.

Deputy State Fire Marshals arrested the teen, who has not been identified, after he was released from the Sheppard and Enoch Pratt Hospital. Investigators say fire marshals were called to a fire at the boy's home in the 3000 block of Rolling Green Drive on September 9. Deputy Fire Marshals say the fire had been intentionally set inside an attached two car garage. The teen's grandparents and sister were inside the home at the time.

The boy is being held at the Harford County Detention Center in lieu of posting $500,000 bail.
