It's a simple three-digit number and luckily, an 8-year-old from Charles County not only knew to dial 911, but what to tell dispatchers when her mother suffered a stroke.
In August, A'nasia Clayton was home with her mother.
"It was just me and her in here," mom Janee Clayton said. "All of a sudden I was like 'A'nasia, I can't feel nothing on my left side. This headache? I don't know what it is.'"
A'nasia had recently looked up the word "stroke" and thought that what was happening to her mom. She then picked up the phone and called 911.
The brave 8-year-old told the dispatcher that the right side of her mother's face turned to the right and was twitching. A'nasia then made sure the door was unlocked, to which the dispatchers gave her some words of encouragement.
