Living with the brain disorder Aphasia

It's a disorder more common than Parkinson's disease, cerebral palsy and muscular dystrophy. You may not have heard of Aphasia, but a million Americans are living it.
 
Those who suffer from Aphasia may have problems with communication such as expressing themselves and understanding spoken language. Day-to-day tasks like reading, writing and saying what they mean are a challenge. The most common group affected by Aphasia are adults who have had a stroke or brain injury. 
 
We were joined by Dr. Arash Taavoni from GBMC's Division of Neurology and Primary Stroke Center to tell us more about this brain disorder.
