Teachers try to rein in standardized testing

MSA, PARCC and HSA are all standardized tests designed to measure how well children are learning. But the tests aren't popular with students or parents, and teachers say they are being forced to give up on tried-and-true teachung methods, in favor of "teaching the test."
 
Teachers are lobbying state lawmakers to pass bills limiting standardized tests, and giving teachers more power to develop their own lesson plans. 
 
Betty Weller, a middle school teacher and president of the Maryland State Education Association, joined ABC2's In Focus to discuss her efforts.
