Our hearts broke when we saw the video of Ray Rice in the elevator. In the years since, the NFL has made it a mission to eliminate domestic violence among players of all ages.

The Denver Broncos are going into schools to teach boys what it means to be "true men."

Project Pave believes violence prevention starts with young people. Former Colorado University wide receiver Derrick McCoy knew as a football standout, he could use the sport to reach young men. So he went to work with the non-profit to develop the "True Man" program.

It's a character development program that has been taught to more than 500 middle school students and 15 high school coaches in and around Denver.

The Ravens are also being proactive, they've teamed up with the One Love Foundation to fund "Escalation," a film-based lesson for high school and college students.
