When most people think of the HPV vaccine, they think it's something for teenage girls, but it's for boys as well. The CDC says more teenage boys are now getting the vaccine than ever.
According to the CDC, 49.8 percent of boys ages 13 to 17 received at least one of the three recommended doses as of 2015. That's up 8 percent from 2014.
The rate for teenage girls did not increase as quickly. Nearly 63 percent had gotten at least one dose, compared to 60 percent in 2014.
The CDC said around 30,000 men and women are diagnosed with HPV-related cancer in the U.S. every year, accounting for 3 percent of all cancers among women and 2 percent among men.
