House of Ruth Maryland, one of the nation's leading intimate partner violence centers, will hold its third annual Man-Up event Tuesday, October 18.

The event encourages men to foster health partner relationships by getting involved in changing behaviors and attitudes that perpetuate abuse. The Baltimore Ravens have sponsored the event since it started.

"The Ravens have benefitted a great deal with our partnership with the House of Ruth," said Dick Cass, President of the Baltimore Ravens.  "The education they have provided to all of us, including our players has opened our eyes wider to this important issue. We hope that our alignment with the House of Ruth will continue to help educate others about the destruction caused by domestic violence."

Shannon Stern with House of Ruth Maryland joined ABC2's In Focus to discuss the event and the organization's other initiatives.
