Over the years, you've seen many studies that say white students from wealthy families do better in school than minority children from poor families.

A new set of graphs illustrates just how wide those gaps are. Researchers at Stanford looked at about 200 million math and reading tests given to students in grades 3 through 8 between 2009 and 2012.

The data was then used to figure out which school districts perform better than average and which perform worse than average.

The New York Times then plotted the results on a series of graphs. Click here to see where your child's school district falls.
