Up until now there hasn't been much benefit or risk seen with multivitamins . Many people thought well it might help, but it probably won't hurt. This raises the question that it might hurt and I think that is a whole different level of understanding that we need to comprehend.
In other words people are taking something to improve their health but it might harm their health.
The study looked at 40,000 women from 55 to 69 over 19 years.
It's important to note supplements aren't subject to the same testing that drugs are required to undergo. The trade association representing supplements said the study was biased.
