Ways to help kids eat healthier

New research shows its's a challenge for parents trying to help their kids maintain a healthy weight.

USA Today reports about one third of kids and adolescents between the ages of two and 19 are overweight.

Children are considered overweight based on where they fall on body mass index (BMI) charts, a measure based on height and weight.

Doctors offer some practical tips to help parents such as: serve your their meals on smaller plates, pay attention to what they watch on television and make sure your kids get plenty of sleep.
