A new study finds more younger women are getting advanced breast cancer.
Researchers found more women between the ages of 25 to 39 are being diagnosed with advanced stage breast cancer.
The increase is small but significant because the trend shows no signs of decreasing and the lowest 5 year breast cancer survival rates are among 20 to 34 year old women.
Doctors say to decrease the risk, it's important for all young women to do self breast exams, know the risk factors, and pay close attention to their family's health history.
The study is published in the "Journal of the American Medical Association."
