Stopping the spread of germs at school

Kids are sharing more than just their lunches during the school day.  They also pass on germs.

Classroom and day care settings are ideal for spreading respiratory viruses, but there are some things kids can do to decrease the risk.

One of your child's best defenses against germs at school is hand washing.

They can keep a hand sanitizer in their desk or book bag.

Also try to get them in the habit of wiping down their desktop with an anti-bacterial wipe at the start of every day.

Doctors also say you should stress the importance of covering the mouth when coughing or sneezing.
