Shopping when you're sad could lead to bad decisions

Some people may drown their sorrows with a drink, but others do damage with their credit cards. 

A new study shows people make bad financial decisions when they're sad.

Participants in the study were offered either a small amount of money immediately or a bigger amount at a later date.

People who were sad went for the instant gratification. So the next time you're feeling blue, you should skip the shopping trip.
