Fidget spinners have been all the rage this year, but now a consumer advocacy group is saying they're not as safe as parents think.

The group U.S. PIRG, which stands for Public Interest Research Group, says it tested fidget spinners sold at Target and found two with high levels of lead. They are the fidget wild premium spinner brass and the fidget wild premium spinner metal.

The group says it contacted Target and the Consumer Product Safety Commission about their findings and were told because the fidget spinners aren't technically a child's product, they are not held to the same standard when it comes to lead levels.

Target and the CPSC have not publicly commented about this study.
