Preparing kids for fire safety

BALTIMORE - Preparing kids for the dangers of life can be a long difficult process, but they're lesssons that can save their lives.

Dr. Robert Cole, a psychology professor at the University of Rochester Medical Center and a nationally respected authority on teaching fire safety to young children, will conduct a workshop for hundreds of firefighters, preschool teachers and daycare personnel here in Baltimore.

He will be teaching a special program that has been proven to dramatically reduce the number of fires started by young children.

Dr. Cole joined Megan and Charley on Good Morning Maryland at Nine to talk about what parents can do to keep their families safe.
