New study finds dehydration can change women's moods

A new small study of 25 women found being dehydrated can actually affect a woman's mood, and brain function.

The study, published in the Journal of Nutrition, concludes that dehydration affected the women by causing headaches, causing them to loose focus, and feel tired.

The researchers only exposed the women in the study, who were all healthy and in their twenties, to mild levels of dehydration, about 1% less hydration than normal.

The researchers achieved the dehydration by having the women exercise, take diuretics, or a combination of the two.

Overall, the researchers found the women who were dehydrated experienced poor moods, feelings that tasks were more difficult, lower levels of concentration, and headache symptoms.
