Good news about "Good" cholesterol. There's a kind of cholesterol that's actually good for you.
It's called High-Density Lipo-Protein HDL for short. HDL gets rid of the "bad" or LDL. There are several drugs to lower bad cholesterol --but very few to increase good cholesterol.
Now a study in the Journal of the American Medical Association finds there's a medication that does both.
Researchers found the drug reduces bad cholesterol by 36%. It also boosted *good* cholesterol by nearly 130%.
