BALTIMORE - If you want to get a building built you call on a construction worker. But some local construction workers are working to build breast cancer awareness.
Poole & Kent Corporation employees and representatives from Johns Hopkins Hospital got together Wednesday to show support for family, friends and colleagues who have been impacted by breast cancer.
The participants wore pink hard hats and created a Human Pink Ribbon to encourage others to get screened for breast cancer.
Employees of Poole and Kent Corporation, a commercial mechanical contractor and subsidiary of EMCOR Group, Inc., will also be wearing the pink hard hats throughout October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The event was held at Johns Hopkins Hospital on North Wolfe Street in Baltimore.
