Group calls on hospitals to cut out fast food

WASHINGTON - One advocacy group says some hospitals are sending mixed messages when it comes to your health and what food you eat.

Corporate Accountability International says many hospitals have contracts allowing fast food chains in hospital dining halls.  The group wants that to stop.

They say this sends a mixed message to patients by encouraging healthy living, yet offering fast food with easy access.

The group sent nearly two dozen notices to hospitals throughout the country addressing their concerns.

The move is endorsed by 2,000 health professionals.
