"Good" cholesterol may not be so good

WASHINGTON -  

New research is changing the way we think about good cholesterol, or HDL.

A Harvard study says genetic tests haven't shown a link between higher HDL and a lower risk for a heart attack.

It questions whether medication to increase HDL levels is actually beneficial.

But t does show that LDL, or bad cholesterol does increase your chance for a heart attack.
