The temperatures are getting colder, and people are getting sick, but peak flu season isn't until January.
Doctors say you shouldn't get the flu vaccine so early because by January, it will be useless. Even though early is better than never, early vaccination is especially a concern for older people who can lose the medicine quickly.
This year, the elderly and people with chronic conditions have the option of getting a special vaccine.
