Popcorn contains antioxidant that can fight disease

A new study confirms that popcorn could be healthy for you, assuming it's not covered in butter, oil and salt.

According to researchers at the University of Scranton, the crunchy hull is rich in polyphenols-- antioxidants that prevent damage to cells.  Polyphenols also may have disease-fighting properties.

One researcher says polyphenols are concentrated in hulls because popcorn doesn't have a lot of water and because it's 100-percent whole grain.
