A loving son started the Life and Breath Foundation after losing his mother to a rare lung disease.
Sean Hull lost his mother Ida when she was only 59-years-old. Ida did not share that she had the rare lung disease Sarcoidosis with her family.
"I call her my best friend," Hull said remembering that Ida pushed him through school at Salisbury University and into a business field. Now Sean works at PNC Bank and has become a big time college referee.
It took Sean time to learn that his mother was diagnosed with Sarcoidosis 13 years before Ida took her final breath.
Once Sean learned about the rare disease, he founded the Life and Breath Foundation which raises money for research into Sarcoidosis.
The foundation's signature fundraiser, the seventh annual "Flip Flop Festivus," takes place Friday, September 18 at 7 p.m. at the Four Seasons Hotel in Baltimore.
