What are the graduation rates in Maryland?

BALTIMORE - Today we'll learn about the graduating rates for students in Maryland.

At 10:00 a.m. the Interim State Superintendent Dr. Bernard J. Sadusky will release the high school assessment results for the graduating class of 2011.

The report will also include graduation rates and takes a look at school and system improvement designations for adequate yearly progress in high schools.

This past year's senior class was the 3rd that completed the HSA requirement needed to receive a Maryland high school diploma.

This newly released data is important because it relates to what is taking place on the national level in education reform.

So a lot of eyes will be on this report.

The state will release the report at 10 a.m. at the State Board of Education.

Baltimore City School CEO, Dr. Andres Alonso, will release his results at 11 a.m. for Baltimore City Schools.
