Study: Most kids wanted to quit sports team

A new survey of children, ages 8-14, found most of them wanted to quit playing sports.  The study was conducted by i9 Sports.

It found 47% of those wanted to quit because "it wasn't any fun."  29% say some of their teammates were mean.  23% say there were too many practices that interfered with other activities.

The study also doesn't look good for parents.  31% of kids wish adults weren't watching their games.  The most common reason?  Adults yell too much, are distracting, and put pressure on them.

42% of kids say they would rather play video games than play sports.  When pressed for more details, 28% of them say sports are too competitive.
