Fifth and Sixth grade students have a chance to win a brand new laptop, and all it takes is an essay.
Giving our youth an opportunity to express themselves is the mission of the Preston Mitchum Jr. Foundation Essay Contest. Long and Foster is this year title sponsor, dedicated to making sure every child has an opportunity to succeed.
The contest serves as part of the Foundation commitment to educate, empower, and provide a vision of a brighter future for youth. The PMJ Foundation understands the importance of exercising reading, writing, and critical-thinking skills. This is another great way to keep our young people engaged and focused on their future goals.
All fifth and sixth graders in Maryland are eligible to participate. Students have until April 28, 2014 to submit their essays.
