Community College of Baltimore County offers dental hygiene clinics for pregnant women and infants

Undetected and untreated dental disease poses a significant health risk to pregnant women and their future children.  The Community College of Baltimore County Dental Hygiene program will offer statewide free preventive dental services and education to pregnant women and infants up to age two.

This comes under a grant from Care First Blue Cross Blue Shield.  The goal of this initiative is to assist in eradicating the risk of dental disease.

CCBC Dental Hygiene students under the supervision of licensed clinical faculty will perform dental hygiene assessments and provide treatment.

CCBC's goal is to treat and educate at least 30 pregnant women and infants each month.  These special statewide clinics are offered by appointment only on March 13, April 17 and May 8 this spring semester in the Dental Arts Building (D) at CCBC Dundalk, 7200 Sollers Point Road in Baltimore.

Call 443-840-3495 to schedule an appointment.
