39th Annual Career and Technology Education Ceremony recognizes 133 BCPS Seniors

Towson, Md - Baltimore County Public Schools honored 133 seniors in the Career and Technology Education program on Wednesday at Loch Raven High School.

The students demonstrated excellence in their programs, which include Business Education, School to Career Transition, Family and Consumer Sciences, Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps, Technology Education and Technical Programs.

Most of the programs are aligned with courses of study at the Community College of Baltimore County.  Many students graduate eligible for as many as  23 free credits at the college.

Baltimore County Public Schools Superintendent Dr. S. Dallas Dance greeted guests at the beginning of the evening.  Dr. Dance says BCPS Career and Technology Education students graduate ready for lifelong learning and they are prepared for success.  He described the CTE graduating seniors as among the thousands of "brilliant, phenomenal young people" he has enjoyed meeting throughout BCPS high schools.

Five students were honored with Marchione Scholarships.
