TIMONIUM, Md - Baltimore County Public Schools hosts its 17th annual Safe Schools Conference to provide principals, school counselors with strategies and information to keep schools safe. The conference is titled, "Connection, Collaboration and Continuity for Student Success."
The conference runs on Friday and Saturday. It's the largest ever and offers training in the development and implementation of positive behavior, management, safety and emergency plans.
Nearly 1,000 participants will hear from Baltimore County Public Schools Superintendent Dr. S. Dallas Dance and Baltimore County Police Chief James W. Johnson and keynote speaker and former principal Larry Thompson.
Thompson's topic is reinforcing positive behaviors in children.
The event will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on Greenspring Drive in Timonium from 8:00am to 3:30pm on Thursday and Friday.
